Plot

Brazil in the 1970s – a dangerous place plagued by a military dictatorship. Scientist Marcelo becomes a fugitive when he discovers that a corrupt minister wants to take over his research. Fleeing from hired killers, the man heads to the place of his birth. In this coastal city, he is caught in the chaos of carnival, police crackdowns, and a mysterious resistance movement. His goal is clear – to reunite with his son and leave the country together.
