Movies in the MULTIPLEX network in the genreThriller

The etymology of the genre name is related to the English word "thrill" - essentially meaning "a shiver". And, of course, not without reason. The best thrillers evoke feelings of excitement and even sharp emotions when watched. New thrillers do not have a specific characteristic - the sharp feelings arise during the whole development of the plot, and there are simply no restrictions on the place and action ("Inception", "Leon", "Fight Club"). The standard for such films is a latent connection with many other genres - horror, detective, crime, and even action-packed thrillers. Unlike, for example, a detective story, thriller films direct their plot towards the future and not the past, and the development and plot twist are only revealed through the viewing of the film. Thanks to this feature, the best thrillers retain intrigue until the very end, keeping the viewer tense and excited. After World War II, another variety appeared - new spy thrillers ("The Spy Who Came in from the Cold", "I Was Monty's Double"). Over time, especially through the influence of the assassinations of Kennedy and the Watergate scandal, this genre became particularly popular - in subsequent films, the plot was often based on plans to assassinate political leaders, alternative historical developments, and the Cold War.
