Plot

Based on the eponymous bestseller by Nobel Prize laureate Kazuo Ishiguro and crafted by Academy Award winner Taika Waititi, who served as the screenwriter and director of the film, «Klara and the Sun» tells a touching story of Klara (Jenna Ortega) — an Artificial Friend who dreams above all of finding her own home.

When Klara meets Josie (Mia Tarija), they immediately form a special bond. Josie has a complex relationship with her mother (Amy Adams), and their family is haunted by the pain of loss. Yet Klara's sincerity, curiosity, and limitless devotion gradually help heal the family's wounds and fill Josie's world with hope and light.
