Plot
The film «The Last Prometheus of Donbas» tells the story of people who, despite constant shelling, continue to work at the last thermal power station in the free part of Donetsk region — just ten kilometers from the front line. It is a story about light that is born despite the darkness.
When the station starts up and smoke rises over the horizon, Russian troops immediately open fire. Despite the danger, the power engineers do not leave their workplaces — until the moment when shelling completely destroys the main elements of the station. Evacuation begins — of people, equipment, and lives. History repeats itself: as it did in 1941 when the station was evacuated to the East, away from Hitler's Nazi troops, only this time the path leads in the opposite direction — away from the imperial aggressors from russia.
