Plot
We invite you to a special screening of the film «2000 Meters to Andriivka» by Oscar winner MSTYSLAV CHERNOV with the participation of the director.
On August 29th at 7:00 PM, in TRC Respublika Park, there will be a screening of the new film by the author of «20 DAYS IN MARIUPOL», which has already won awards at the Sundance and Docudays UA festivals.
After the screening, viewers will have the opportunity to engage in a discussion with the director.
The film covers the events of the Ukrainian counteroffensive in the Bakhmut direction in September 2023.
Mstyslav Chernov and photographer Oleksandr Babenko follow a platoon of Ukrainian soldiers from the 3rd Separate Assault Brigade. The soldiers must traverse a fortified forest to liberate the village of Andriivka. Almost the entire surrounding area is mined, and the village itself is virtually destroyed. The journalists showcase the life of soldiers in the trenches and the brutal battles for an important counteroffensive stronghold.
