Plot

The film covers the events of the Ukrainian counteroffensive on the Bakhmut direction in September 2023.

Mstislav Chernov and photographer Oleksandr Babenko follow the platoon of Ukrainian soldiers of the 3rd Separate Assault Brigade, who are tasked with overcoming the fortified forest to de-occupy the village of Andriivka. Almost the entire surrounding area is mined, and the village is practically destroyed. The journalists show the lives of the soldiers in the trenches and the fierce battles for a crucial counteroffensive foothold.
