Plot
New film by Oscar-winning director «20 Days in Mariupol» and
Pulitzer Prize winner Mstyslav Chernov.
The film covers the events of the Ukrainian counteroffensive in the Bakhmut direction in September 2023.
Mstyslav Chernov and photographer Oleksandr Babenko follow a platoon of Ukrainian soldiers from the 3rd Separate Assault Brigade, tasked with overcoming a fortified forest to liberate the village of Andriivka. Nearly all the surrounding area is mined, and the village is essentially destroyed. The journalists depict the soldiers' lives in the trenches and the fierce battles for important counteroffensive positions.
